“To empower and inspire culturally underrepresented youth aspiring performing artists (ages 12-18) in suburban and rural communities by creating safe spaces for self-expression, connection, and growth.”

🎯 Our Core Focus Areas

Creative Safe Spaces- Foster emotionally and physically safe environments where youth can take creative risks, share their stories, and build confidence.
Cultural Affirmation- Center programming around diverse cultural narratives and histories that reflect students' identities.
Mentorship & Support- Connect youth with mentors in the arts who understand the unique challenges of being underrepresented in predominantly white or rural areas.
Community Engagement
Partner with local artists, schools, and families to build a network of support and visibility for young creatives.
Access & Exposure- Provide access, information, resources and exposure to artistic opportunities, events, and careers in the performing arts.

The Why...

Village of Soul, LLC, founded by Dr. Aubria (Bree) Nance, LPC, is on a mission to create culturally affirming spaces for young artists of from diverse and historically underrepresented cultural backgrounds in suburban and rural communities.

As a Philadelphia native, artist, and mother of two young creatives, Dr. Bree understands the barriers these youth face—like limited access to diverse arts programming, mentorship, peer connections and transportation. Her mission is to change that using her extensive knowledge and experience in student success programming and planning, mental well-being, education, career planning and counseling and post-secondary education administration.
